Musician, educator, and music entrepreneur, Marc Charrière brings new life to Swiss tradition with fresh energy. As the founder of Charrière-Music Sàrl, he shares his passion for the schwytzoise and chromatic accordion through lessons, live performances, and a specialized shop, becoming a recognized figure in the Swiss folk scene.
Originally from Semsales (FR), Marc took to the stage at a young age before starting to teach in 2008. In parallel, he performs with several groups – Les Bandits Folkloriques, Outre-Mer, Duo MCJJ, and in a duo with Fabien Crausaz – all of which bring a fresh twist to traditional folk music.
With one foot in tradition and the other in innovation, Marc Charrière creates an accessible, joyful, and vibrant vision of Swiss folk music. Whether on stage or in the studio, he turns each note into a bridge between generations.
